Brown Owls Melbourne 3000 Reboot

August 9, 2015

Air Raid Precautions test at Myer, Melbourne. 1942. State Library Victoria, www.slv.vic.gov.au, Argus (Melbourne, Vic.).

Yes, that’s right, come Monday night we’re holding down the power button and rebooting the Melbourne 3000 chapter of Brown Owls!

To ease us back into the groove it will be a very laid-back event with BYO craft project. If you are sans crafty project, that’s cool, come along for some inspiration, chats, good food and a beverage.

We have had requests from beginner knitters for a lesson in casting-on and basic knitting, and also for a beginners cross-stitch lesson. I’ll bring along a few knitting and cross-stitch supplies (you’re welcome to bring yours too if you want to join in or if you have wisdom/experience to impart).

Here is the important information…
When: Monday August 10 @ 6:30 pm
Where: The Parlour Room, Madame Brussels, 3/59 Bourke St Melbourne VIC 3000
Why: Because it is fun!

If you can’t make it for our first meet-up there will be another one in September, and please join our friendly Facebook group.

I will be there from 6:15 pm on Monday night in case anyone is early. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and having a bit of group crafty time.

I wish I could be there with my granny squares, Deanna, but a bit tricky juggling family stuff tomorrow night. Hopefully next time!
