Craft for a cause this year and help us raise much needed funds for the Myleoproliferative Neoplasms (MPN) trust fund within the Research Trust of the Foundation, an important area of research on a rare group of diseases.
We have a number of unfinished applique and crochet tea towel projects and new project ideas (including the crochet tissue holders below) for you to work on. You don’t need to be experienced at sewing or crochet, we will have help available.
When: Saturday 28 May, 2016
Where: Ashgrove Library, Meeting Room 1, 87 Amarina Ave, Ashgrove
What to bring:
If you have any of these items in your stash that you would like to contribute bring them along:
Crochet hooks, 4ply crochet cotton, large buttons, velcro dots, embroidery threads, scrap fabric approx double 20cm x 30 cm in colours that match beige, turquoise, mid blue, hot pink, burgundy and brown for hand towels, cotton thread, needle, thin wadding/batting, scissors, vliesofix.
Also if you are able to bring your sewing machine that would be wonderful, we will have one available on the day but depending on numbers it would be great to have more.
If you don’t have any of these items please come along anyway as we will have extra and we need your help more than anything else
RSVP: Email firstname.lastname@example.org to book in.
If you can’t make it to this meet up but would like to help make items from home, we would love to hear from you.
You can find the pattern for these tissue holders here.
